Terms & Privacy Policy
This is the same policy you see inside the Astitva app. It is written in plain language on purpose. Last updated: 4 August 2026.
What Astitva is
Astitva is a free information and self-help app for the transgender community in India. It shares links to government schemes, NGOs, helplines and learning content. Astitva is made by TINYANGLESTUDIO (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U62010PN2026OPC255673), which trades as TinyAngle Studio and is responsible for your data. Astitva is not a government app.
Your data stays with you
Everything you enter — your name, profile, medicine diary and learning progress — is saved only on your phone. We do not collect it, see it or sell it. The app has no ads and no tracking.
Backup (optional)
If you turn on Backup in Settings, only your phone number (it becomes your account name), your name, language, location and learning progress are saved to our secure server so you can get them back on a new phone. Your medicine diary and your pattern are never uploaded. You can delete your backup anytime — it erases everything permanently. Our server runs on Supabase and is in India (Mumbai), so your backup stays in the country. If your backup data is ever affected by a security breach, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India.
Location (only when you tap the button)
The setup screen has a button that fills in your state, district and city for you. It runs only when you tap it, never on its own and never in the background. When you tap it, your phone's coordinates are rounded to roughly a 1 km area and sent once to a mapping service (BigDataCloud) to turn them into a place name; we do not store them on our server or on your phone. You can ignore the button and simply type your location instead, and you can refuse the permission at any time without losing anything.

Astitva shares general information only. It is not medical, legal or financial advice. For health issues talk to a doctor; for legal matters contact a lawyer or free legal aid (NALSA). Helplines and schemes belong to their own organisations and may change.
External links & phone numbers
Astitva is only an information platform. The links, websites and phone numbers shown in the app (government portals, NGOs, helplines, offices) are publicly available information collected in one place for your convenience. These services are run by their own organisations, not by us. We cannot guarantee that a website will be online, that a call will be answered, or that you will receive any help, scheme or benefit. Contacting them is your own decision, made directly between you and that organisation. Astitva and TinyAngle Studio accept no responsibility or liability for their availability, conduct, content, services or the outcome of any contact.
Your responsibilities
Give true information about yourself and use the app only for yourself. Do not try to break, copy or misuse the app or its server.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms from time to time. Important changes will be shown inside the app.

Your rights over your data
You can ask us at any time to show you the data in your backup, to correct it, or to delete it completely. You can turn Backup off whenever you want, and deleting your backup erases it permanently from our server. Because everything else lives only on your phone, uninstalling the app removes it. How long we keep it
Data on your phone stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. If Backup is on, we keep that backup until you delete it. Deleted backups are removed permanently and cannot be recovered.
Age
Astitva is only for adults aged 18 and above. The app asks for your date of birth and cannot be set up by anyone under 18. If you are under 18 and need support, please call the national transgender helpline 14427.
Grievance Officer
If you have a complaint about your data or about this app, write to our Grievance Officer, Pooja Govindrao Kadam, at astitva.support@gmail.com. We reply within 24 hours and resolve your complaint within 15 days.
This website
This website is a plain information page about Astitva. It has no login, no forms and no analytics. It sets no cookies and does not collect anything about you. It is hosted on Vercel, and fonts and icons are loaded from Google Fonts — both receive your browser's request in the ordinary way.
